بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمـٰنِ الرَّحيمِ وَالعادِياتِ ضَبحًا

By the gallopers snorting.

فَالمورِياتِ قَدحًا

Striking sparks of fire.

فَالمُغيراتِ صُبحًا

Charging in the morning.

فَأَثَرنَ بِهِ نَقعًا

Stirring up therein a cloud of dust.

إِنَّ الإِنسانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنودٌ

Indeed, man is to his Lord ungrateful.

وَإِنَّهُ عَلىٰ ذٰلِكَ لَشَهيدٌ

And to that, he himself is a witness.

وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الخَيرِ لَشَديدٌ

And he is passionate in his love for good things.

أَفَلا يَعلَمُ إِذا بُعثِرَ ما فِي القُبورِ

Does he not know? When the graves’ contents are scattered around.

وَحُصِّلَ ما فِي الصُّدورِ

And what’s in the hearts is exposed.
