الَّذينَ آتَيناهُمُ الكِتابَ يَعرِفونَهُ كَما يَعرِفونَ أَبناءَهُم ۖ وَإِنَّ فَريقًا مِنهُم لَيَكتُمونَ الحَقَّ وَهُم يَعلَمونَ

Those to whom We gave the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their own children. But some of them knowingly conceal the truth.

الحَقُّ مِن رَبِّكَ ۖ فَلا تَكونَنَّ مِنَ المُمتَرينَ

The truth is from your Lord, so don’t be among the doubters.

وَلِكُلٍّ وِجهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلّيها ۖ فَاستَبِقُوا الخَيراتِ ۚ أَينَ ما تَكونوا يَأتِ بِكُمُ اللَّهُ جَميعًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ

For each, there is a direction they turn to, so compete in doing good deeds. Wherever you may be, God will bring you all together. God has power over all things.

وَمِن حَيثُ خَرَجتَ فَوَلِّ وَجهَكَ شَطرَ المَسجِدِ الحَرامِ ۖ وَإِنَّهُ لَلحَقُّ مِن رَبِّكَ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغافِلٍ عَمّا تَعمَلونَ

And from wherever you go out, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. This is the truth from your Lord. God is not unaware of what you do.

وَمِن حَيثُ خَرَجتَ فَوَلِّ وَجهَكَ شَطرَ المَسجِدِ الحَرامِ ۚ وَحَيثُ ما كُنتُم فَوَلّوا وُجوهَكُم شَطرَهُ لِئَلّا يَكونَ لِلنّاسِ عَلَيكُم حُجَّةٌ إِلَّا الَّذينَ ظَلَموا مِنهُم فَلا تَخشَوهُم وَاخشَوني وَلِأُتِمَّ نِعمَتي عَلَيكُم وَلَعَلَّكُم تَهتَدونَ

From wherever you set out, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque. And wherever you are, face it, so that people will have no argument against you, except for the wrongdoers among them. So don’t fear them, but fear Me. I will then complete My favor upon you, so that you may be guided.

فَاذكُروني أَذكُركُم وَاشكُروا لي وَلا تَكفُرونِ

So remember Me, and I will remember you. Be thankful to Me, and don’t reject faith.

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنُوا استَعينوا بِالصَّبرِ وَالصَّلاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصّابِرينَ

O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer; indeed God is with those who are patient.

وَلا تَقولوا لِمَن يُقتَلُ في سَبيلِ اللَّهِ أَمواتٌ ۚ بَل أَحياءٌ وَلـٰكِن لا تَشعُرونَ

Don’t say of those who are killed in God’s way, “They are dead.” Rather, they are alive, but you can’t perceive it.

وَلَنَبلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيءٍ مِنَ الخَوفِ وَالجوعِ وَنَقصٍ مِنَ الأَموالِ وَالأَنفُسِ وَالثَّمَراتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الصّابِرينَ

We will certainly test you with a measure of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives, and fruits. But give good news to the patient.

الَّذينَ إِذا أَصابَتهُم مُصيبَةٌ قالوا إِنّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنّا إِلَيهِ راجِعونَ

Those who, when a disaster strikes them, say, “To God we belong, and to Him we will return.”
