يا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِأَزواجِكَ وَبَناتِكَ وَنِساءِ المُؤمِنينَ يُدنينَ عَلَيهِنَّ مِن جَلابيبِهِنَّ ۚ ذٰلِكَ أَدنىٰ أَن يُعرَفنَ فَلا يُؤذَينَ ۗ وَكانَ اللَّهُ غَفورًا رَحيمًا

O Prophet, instruct your wives, daughters, and the believers’ women to lengthen their garments, so they may be recognized and not be harassed. God is ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.

لَئِن لَم يَنتَهِ المُنافِقونَ وَالَّذينَ في قُلوبِهِم مَرَضٌ وَالمُرجِفونَ فِي المَدينَةِ لَنُغرِيَنَّكَ بِهِم ثُمَّ لا يُجاوِرونَكَ فيها إِلّا قَليلًا

If the hypocrites, those in whose hearts is sickness, and those who spread malicious rumors in the city don’t cease, We will incite you against them; then they won’t be your neighbors therein except for a little while.

مَلعونينَ ۖ أَينَما ثُقِفوا أُخِذوا وَقُتِّلوا تَقتيلًا

Cursed they are. Wherever they are found, they are to be apprehended and executed promptly.

سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذينَ خَلَوا مِن قَبلُ ۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبديلًا

This has been God’s established way with those who passed before. You will find no alteration in God’s way.

يَسأَلُكَ النّاسُ عَنِ السّاعَةِ ۖ قُل إِنَّما عِلمُها عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَما يُدريكَ لَعَلَّ السّاعَةَ تَكونُ قَريبًا

People ask you concerning the Hour. Say, “Knowledge of it is only with God. And what will make you know? Perhaps the Hour is near.”

خالِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ۖ لا يَجِدونَ وَلِيًّا وَلا نَصيرًا

There, they will remain forever, devoid of any protector or helper.

يَومَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجوهُهُم فِي النّارِ يَقولونَ يا لَيتَنا أَطَعنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعنَا الرَّسولا

On the Day when their faces are flipped in the Fire, they will cry out, “Oh, how we wish we had obeyed God and the Messenger.”

وَقالوا رَبَّنا إِنّا أَطَعنا سادَتَنا وَكُبَراءَنا فَأَضَلّونَا السَّبيلا

And they will say, “Our Lord, we obeyed our leaders and great ones, but they led us astray from the path.

رَبَّنا آتِهِم ضِعفَينِ مِنَ العَذابِ وَالعَنهُم لَعنًا كَبيرًا

Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them severely.”

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا لا تَكونوا كَالَّذينَ آذَوا موسىٰ فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمّا قالوا ۚ وَكانَ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَجيهًا

O you who believe, don’t be like those who hurt Moses, yet God absolved him of what they said. And he was distinguished in God’s sight.
