بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمـٰنِ الرَّحيمِ لَم يَكُنِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتابِ وَالمُشرِكينَ مُنفَكّينَ حَتّىٰ تَأتِيَهُمُ البَيِّنَةُ

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not separated until clear evidence came to them.

رَسولٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَتلو صُحُفًا مُطَهَّرَةً

A Messenger from God, reciting purified pages.

فيها كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ

Within them are upright teachings.

وَما تَفَرَّقَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتابَ إِلّا مِن بَعدِ ما جاءَتهُمُ البَيِّنَةُ

Those given the Scripture didn’t become divided until after the clear evidence came to them.

وَما أُمِروا إِلّا لِيَعبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخلِصينَ لَهُ الدّينَ حُنَفاءَ وَيُقيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَيُؤتُوا الزَّكاةَ ۚ وَذٰلِكَ دينُ القَيِّمَةِ

They were only commanded to worship God, devoting their religion to Him alone, uphold prayer, and give charity. That is the correct religion.

إِنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتابِ وَالمُشرِكينَ في نارِ جَهَنَّمَ خالِدينَ فيها ۚ أُولـٰئِكَ هُم شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will abide eternally in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all beings.

إِنَّ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ أُولـٰئِكَ هُم خَيرُ البَرِيَّةِ

However, those who believe and perform righteous deeds are the best of all beings.

جَزاؤُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم جَنّاتُ عَدنٍ تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ خالِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ۖ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُم وَرَضوا عَنهُ ۚ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ

Their reward with their Lord is Gardens of Eternity, through which rivers flow, where they will reside forever. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever reveres his Lord.
