ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم يَومَ القِيامَةِ تُبعَثونَ

Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be resurrected.

وَلَقَد خَلَقنا فَوقَكُم سَبعَ طَرائِقَ وَما كُنّا عَنِ الخَلقِ غافِلينَ

We created above you seven pathways, and We are never unmindful of creation.

وَأَنزَلنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسكَنّاهُ فِي الأَرضِ ۖ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ذَهابٍ بِهِ لَقادِرونَ

We send down water from the sky in due measure, storing it within the earth, and We can take it away.

فَأَنشَأنا لَكُم بِهِ جَنّاتٍ مِن نَخيلٍ وَأَعنابٍ لَكُم فيها فَواكِهُ كَثيرَةٌ وَمِنها تَأكُلونَ

Through it, We produce for you gardens of date palms and vineyards, yielding abundant fruits from which you eat.

وَشَجَرَةً تَخرُجُ مِن طورِ سَيناءَ تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهنِ وَصِبغٍ لِلآكِلينَ

Also, a tree that springs forth from Mount Sinai, producing oil and relish for the eaters.

وَعَلَيها وَعَلَى الفُلكِ تُحمَلونَ

And on them, as well as on ships, you are transported.

وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ فَقالَ يا قَومِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ ما لَكُم مِن إِلـٰهٍ غَيرُهُ ۖ أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ

We sent Noah to his people, and he pleaded, “O my people, worship God; you have no god but Him. Will you not then be righteous?”

فَقالَ المَلَأُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن قَومِهِ ما هـٰذا إِلّا بَشَرٌ مِثلُكُم يُريدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيكُم وَلَو شاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلائِكَةً ما سَمِعنا بِهـٰذا في آبائِنَا الأَوَّلينَ

However, the leaders of his people who disbelieved said, “This is nothing but a man like yourselves, seeking to assert dominance over you. If God had willed, He could’ve sent down angels. We’ve never heard of this from our forefathers.

إِن هُوَ إِلّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصوا بِهِ حَتّىٰ حينٍ

He is only a man with delusions. Just ignore him for a while.”

قالَ رَبِّ انصُرني بِما كَذَّبونِ

He prayed, “My Lord, assist me, because they have rejected me.”
