بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمـٰنِ الرَّحيمِ وَالصّافّاتِ صَفًّا

By the aligners aligning.

فَالزّاجِراتِ زَجرًا

And the drivers driving.

فَالتّالِياتِ ذِكرًا

And those conveying the message.

رَبُّ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما بَينَهُما وَرَبُّ المَشارِقِ

Lord of the heavens, the earth, and everything between them, and Lord of the sunrises.

إِنّا زَيَّنَّا السَّماءَ الدُّنيا بِزينَةٍ الكَواكِبِ

We adorned the nearest heaven with the beauty of stars.

وَحِفظًا مِن كُلِّ شَيطانٍ مارِدٍ

And as a protection from every defiant devil.

لا يَسَّمَّعونَ إِلَى المَلَإِ الأَعلىٰ وَيُقذَفونَ مِن كُلِّ جانِبٍ

They can’t eavesdrop on the Highest Assembly, for they get pelted from every side.

دُحورًا ۖ وَلَهُم عَذابٌ واصِبٌ

Repelled, they will face perpetual torment.
