لَهُم ما يَشاءونَ فيها وَلَدَينا مَزيدٌ
For them there is whatever they wish therein, and with Us is even more.
وَكَم أَهلَكنا قَبلَهُم مِن قَرنٍ هُم أَشَدُّ مِنهُم بَطشًا فَنَقَّبوا فِي البِلادِ هَل مِن مَحيصٍ
How many generations, stronger than them, did We destroy before them? They explored the lands—was there any escape?
إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَذِكرىٰ لِمَن كانَ لَهُ قَلبٌ أَو أَلقَى السَّمعَ وَهُوَ شَهيدٌ
In this, there is a lesson for whoever has a heart, who listens attentively and bears witness.
وَلَقَد خَلَقنَا السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضَ وَما بَينَهُما في سِتَّةِ أَيّامٍ وَما مَسَّنا مِن لُغوبٍ
We created the heavens, the earth, and everything between them in six periods, and no fatigue touched Us.
فَاصبِر عَلىٰ ما يَقولونَ وَسَبِّح بِحَمدِ رَبِّكَ قَبلَ طُلوعِ الشَّمسِ وَقَبلَ الغُروبِ
Patiently endure what they say, and glorify the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.
وَمِنَ اللَّيلِ فَسَبِّحهُ وَأَدبارَ السُّجودِ
And exalt Him during the night, and after the prostrations.
وَاستَمِع يَومَ يُنادِ المُنادِ مِن مَكانٍ قَريبٍ
And listen on the Day when the caller calls from a place nearby.
يَومَ يَسمَعونَ الصَّيحَةَ بِالحَقِّ ۚ ذٰلِكَ يَومُ الخُروجِ
The Day when they will hear the blast in truth, that is the Day of Emergence.
إِنّا نَحنُ نُحيي وَنُميتُ وَإِلَينَا المَصيرُ
It’s We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination.
يَومَ تَشَقَّقُ الأَرضُ عَنهُم سِراعًا ۚ ذٰلِكَ حَشرٌ عَلَينا يَسيرٌ
The Day when the earth will crack open before them, hastening forth. That gathering is easy for Us.
نَحنُ أَعلَمُ بِما يَقولونَ ۖ وَما أَنتَ عَلَيهِم بِجَبّارٍ ۖ فَذَكِّر بِالقُرآنِ مَن يَخافُ وَعيدِ
We are better informed about what they say, and you’re not a tyrant over them. But remind with the Quran whoever fears My warning.
