الشَّمسُ وَالقَمَرُ بِحُسبانٍ

The sun and the moon adhere to calculations.

وَالنَّجمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسجُدانِ

The stars and the trees prostrate.

وَالسَّماءَ رَفَعَها وَوَضَعَ الميزانَ

He raised the sky and established the balance.

أَلّا تَطغَوا فِي الميزانِ

So don’t upset the balance.

وَأَقيمُوا الوَزنَ بِالقِسطِ وَلا تُخسِرُوا الميزانَ

Maintain the weight with justice, and don’t fall short in the balance.

فيها فاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخلُ ذاتُ الأَكمامِ

Within it are fruits and date palms bearing clusters of date.

وَالحَبُّ ذُو العَصفِ وَالرَّيحانُ

And grains within husks, and aromatic herbs.

فَبِأَيِّ آلاءِ رَبِّكُما تُكَذِّبانِ

So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?

خَلَقَ الإِنسانَ مِن صَلصالٍ كَالفَخّارِ

He created man from clay, akin to pottery.

وَخَلَقَ الجانَّ مِن مارِجٍ مِن نارٍ

And He created the jinn from a scorching flame of fire.
