بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمـٰنِ الرَّحيمِ وَالسَّماءِ ذاتِ البُروجِ

By the sky with the constellations.

وَشاهِدٍ وَمَشهودٍ

And by the witness and what is witnessed.

قُتِلَ أَصحابُ الأُخدودِ

Perished were the companions of the ditch.

النّارِ ذاتِ الوَقودِ

With the intensely fueled fire.

إِذ هُم عَلَيها قُعودٌ

While they were seated around it.

وَهُم عَلىٰ ما يَفعَلونَ بِالمُؤمِنينَ شُهودٌ

Witnessing what they were doing to the believers.
