اللَّهَ رَبَّكُم وَرَبَّ آبائِكُمُ الأَوَّلينَ

God is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors.”

فَكَذَّبوهُ فَإِنَّهُم لَمُحضَرونَ

But they rejected him, and they will be apprehended.

إِلّا عِبادَ اللَّهِ المُخلَصينَ

Except for God’s chosen servants.

وَتَرَكنا عَلَيهِ فِي الآخِرينَ

We left for him a favorable mention among later generations.

سَلامٌ عَلىٰ إِل ياسينَ

Peace be upon Elijah.

إِنَّهُ مِن عِبادِنَا المُؤمِنينَ

He was one of Our believing servants.

وَإِنَّ لوطًا لَمِنَ المُرسَلينَ

And Lot was among the messengers.

إِذ نَجَّيناهُ وَأَهلَهُ أَجمَعينَ

We saved him and his entire family.

إِلّا عَجوزًا فِي الغابِرينَ

Except an elderly woman who was among those left behind.

ثُمَّ دَمَّرنَا الآخَرينَ

Then We destroyed the rest.
